Hi...
Encryption utility is used to hide the connection string information within the web.config file. It should be performed on the sever that is used for public deployement.
step using command line:
1. Open CMD
2. change directory to dotnet framework
3. if root of your website is C:\abc then use following code.
aspnet_regiis -pef connectionStrings C:\abc
when this encryption has been performend then web.config file can be opened but connection string will be garbled.
