Job Description
PURPOSE (why this job exists):
The responsibilities of this person will be to ensure the departments to provide the best possible service to clients, both sponsors and investigator sites. These services encompass provision of Visit Specific Kits (VSK) and the co-ordination of clinical trials material shipment. The goal is to accomplish these services in a quality, timely and professional manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES (Accountabilities, including financial/ staff/ material data as appropriate, and Primary Tasks):
1. Responsible for Clinical Trial Materials Department to devise and maintain
- process of kit building
- inventory needs for kit building
- process of supplying the start-up of protocols
- process of re-supplying kits to investigator sites
2. Assemble test kits based on patient visit and protocol requirements making sure that all test kit ingredients i.e. test tubes, needles, slides etc, are included as specified.
3. Maintains and prints test tube barcode labels and outside box labels with correct accession number which corresponds with enclosed requisition.
4. Arranges for shipment of kits to appropriate sites
5. Weighs each kit in preparation for express mailing system
6. Notifies Clinical Trial Materials Supervisor when inventory of kit building supplies falls below an acceptable level
7. Maintain Clinical Trial Materials inventory supplies, listing and forecasting report. Negotiate with suppliers on CTM supplies pricing and build good relationship with them.
8. Serves as a liaison between the project managers and the whole project team in discussion of clinical trial materials for new project launching.
9. Handles all CTM & Lab Ops supplies orders, ie NCR paper, printer ribbons, labels and shippers’ boxes etc.
10. Ordering and co-ordinate shipper’s boxes and/or any other materials which required from Quintiles Lab in USA or UK in order to meet the project requirements.
11. Performs other duties as needed.
