Sharepoint number field without commas

Posted Date: 06 Nov 2009      Posted By: Jhanani      Member Level: Silver     Points: 1   Responses: 1

Hi all
I am having a sharepoint site in that am creating document libraries with fields. If the field type is number then the values are showing 1,234 instead 1234. I want the fixed one like i want to show it like 1234. I need this to affect for entire site not for particular list. Its an urgent requirement.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

For doing this you can create a custom column..
and use the caluculated option of the new column and use formatting to convert it to a text by removing commas

or if you dont want to use this
create a custom field type by adding the required validation to it
