Mail sending in telnet

Hi all
Iam sending email through my application using smtp server
but all my mails are stored in C:\Inetpub\mailroot\Queue .How should i solve this
problem.After my initial study icame to conclusion that i need to configure my smtp server and can check using telnet,but when am sending mail through telnet
am getting error when i enter RCPT TO:abc@gmail.com

please help me out
its urgent
