Couldn't install sql server 2005 database engine in vista premium

i am getting this error "The SQL Server service failed to start. For more information, see the SQL Server Books Online topics, "How to: View SQL Server 2005 Setup Log Files" and "Starting SQL Server Manually." while installing sql server itself. pls help me out of this.

Check the log file created by the installer for specific error information.

Go to control panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services and start the services manually

I can't find the service to start manually though i couldn't install the database server first
