Default value

hi

I declared a variable in sql server : Zipcode int. which doesn't allow nulls.
My problem is In zipcode field,defaultly the valu 0 is there.I'm not seting any default value. I want defaulty blank field.

Please clarify.

either there be 0 or NULL you can set NULL as a default value..

Set allow nulls true to that field...

What do you think setting a column as 'not null' means? You are having contradictory requirement. You say it cannot be null. Then you say you don't want any value also. Rethink your requirement.
