How is dot net framework, IIS and ASP connected?

Posted Date: 29 Oct 2009      Posted By: Ranjith      Member Level: Bronze     Points: 1   Responses: 1

Hello,

I am new to the dot net technologies. Can any one explain me

1. How dot net framework, IIS and ASP are connected? i.e, can these work independently if installed in a machine? What are the roles of each of these techonologies?

2. What are the pre requisites for installing each of the above components?

Appreciate your help.

Thanks,
Ranjith

We can install independently IIS, asp, .Net framework. All are should be install in the same system.

IIS is web server
.net framework is the hard of the .net, it contain all the predefined dll, namespaces, classes etc
