If you want your SharePoint site to be a public Web site, enable anonymous access for the entire site.

These Web sites are ideal for information and knowledge intensive sites and/or sites where you need to have a shared Web workspace.

Remember: Under each parent Web site, you can create up to 10 sub-sites each with unique permissions, settings and security rights.

To Enable Anonymous Access:

1. Login to your SharePoint Site

2. Click on the Site Settings Link at the top of the page

3. Click on the "Go To Site Administration" link under the Administration heading

4. Click on the "Manage Anonymous Access" link under the Users and Permissions heading

5. Under the All Authenticated Users Heading click the Radio Button for "Yes" for the Question - Allow all authenticated users to access site? Assign the user Reader permission (Default)

6. Click OK

7. Success!

Note: If you cannot change the Anonymous Settings or they are "grayed out", please submit a Customer Support Ticket as we will need to manually make a change for your web site so you can adjust these settings.
