Getting datafrom webservice

I want to get Records from Patient Table on the network by using WebService
It dose not return me data table or data set
In what format should I try to get data

Can you give more details about the WebService? Is it a 3rd party one? or you developed it? If you are developed it they why you are not returning a Dataset or Data Table.
