Few moments with Vijaya Kadiyala - DotNetSpider MVM

Posted Date: 20 May 2009      Posted By: Raghav      Member Level: Gold     Points: 1   Responses: 13

Hello DNS'ians,

Vijaya Kadiyala is a senior Diamond member who is also an MVP awardee and got the award in the year 2008 (1st October, 2008). Vijaya Kadiyala has been very actively participating in the forums of DNS and answering the queries of the members in a precise and correct manner. He joined DNS on 21st August, 2004. He was awarded with DotNetSpider MVM award recently in April, 2009.

We had an interview with him to get his views on DotNetSpider and his message to DotNetSpider members. Here is the interview we had with him.

Please tell us about yourself?

This is Vijaya Kadiyala, working as Lead Database Architect in TCS. I am a MVP (Microsoft Most Valuable Professional) in ASP/ASP.NET Architecture. I am also the Most Valuable Member, Most Valuable Contributor and Member of the Year in various technology communities. I did my BE (CSE) from University College of Engineering, Osmania University Campus. I started my career working with ASP, VB and SQL Server. After mastering these technologies I moved to .Net and then extensively worked on VB.NET, ASP.NET with SQL Server. I hold several certifications in Microsoft & Oracle Technologies. I regularly blog at www.DotNetVJ.com to help others with my own experiences.

How did you get into DotNetSpider community?

Way back in 2004, I wanted to learn .Net and I was looking for a good website. I am not sure about the search criteria that I had used in Google but DotNetSpider.com appeared in the first page of Google search results. Every day I used to go through the different questions and used to answer at least one question per day.

What motivated you to contribute in DotNetSpider?

I strongly believe that sharing knowledge improves our knowledge. So started contributing to this community.

How much time do you spend on Technical communities to help others?

I usually spend 6 to 8 hours daily including week-ends. In addition to the communities I also regularly blog at www.DotNetVJ.com

How are you balancing your Work life with your contribution in Technical Communities?

I don’t see any difference between Work life and contributing to the Technical communities. I don’t see this as special activity. I see this as my job to help others.

Please share with us your journey of becoming an DNS-MVM?

I joined DotNetSpider.com some time in 2004. I never aimed for any awards. I was just trying to help others with the knowledge I have. If you are working hard then one day it pays off. That’s the reason I have been awarded as DNS-MVM.

Few words about DotNetSpider?

This is a great forum to get your answers

What are your career goals?

I want to be an Enterprise Architect.

Best moment in DotNetSpider tenure?

When I got my first “Monthly winner” award in 2005. In addition to this for my contribution when I got Member of the Year and Most Valuable Member. These are very special moments in my DotNetSpider tenure.

Any message to technologists and suggestions to make DotNetSpider as World's number one Technical Site?

Message to Technologists: Buddies, What ever you do, do it with 100% concentration. Always ask one question to yourself. What is that makes you so special and different than other people!!! And try to aim for that.

DotNetSpider is already in Top position. DotNetSpider is best example for Tony’s hard work. As every one says hard work always pays-off.

Hope this interview will be useful to all members. we will be publishing interviews with other members too.

Thank you

Raghav
Web Master
